Due to new growth, we are now seeking Casual Support Workers to support us, in caring for and guiding our participants in living their best life.
Overview of the role:
• Opportunities to support participants in SIL, ILO and In-Home Supports, and community access. (this role is focused on SIL supports)
• 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts, including active nights, and weekends.
• Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP), and participant support plans to achieve high quality care.
• We are heavy on data and recording, so a commitment to completing skilled shift notes, and requested data collection sheets per shift.
• Support people within a 1-on-1 arrangement in SIL.
• This role is supporting a participant with manual handling and personal care requirements.
What you need:
• 12 months plus paid experience supporting people in SILs with Behaviour Support Plans, Data collection and Manual Handling (hoist).
• Australian Driver's License
• Access to own reliable vehicle for community-based support shifts
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment
• National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to apply)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Manual Handling experience of 1 year plus, and a Certified Manual Handling Training certificate.
