Job Pharmacy Assistant, North Ward

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Bushland Beach Pharmacy in Bushland Beach, QLD. This is a full-time position, with negotiable hours, as we are open early and close late on weekdays, providing you with the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our pharmacy.

Job Responsibilities

• Work within a team environment to assist in the delivery of pharmacy services

• Provide excellent customer service to our patients

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels

• Handle prescriptions appropriately

• Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and general office duties

• Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and adheres to all relevant standards

• This role reports firstly to the Retail Manager

Skills and Experience

• Previous retail and customer service experience (experience working as a Pharmacy Assistant desirable, but not necessary)

• S2/S3 certificate and/or Certificate II or III in Community Pharmacy highly regarded, but not required – full training will be provided to the right candidate

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately, efficiently and autonomously as the situation requires

• A genuine interest in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, and a desire to develop skills and knowledge in this area

• Proficient in using computer systems and software applications

• EFTPOS, Point-of-Sale and cash handling experience essential

• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
