Job URGENT Locum Stroke Physician or Neurologist Toowoomba Hospital, Toowoomba

Following the withdrawal of a locum, Toowoomba Hospital has a requirement for either a Locum Stroke Physician or Neurologist over the following dates. Candidate must have specialist registration with AHPRA.





The daily rate will be as per B45 Policy - $2303.70 per day plus GST

The duties include, but are not limited to daily ward round in the stroke unit to attend to any stroke related patients from the ED and rural facilities. Stroke clinic Tuesday morning
Experience in hyperacute stroke management (CT prefusion reading and thrombolysis as well as assessing for patients for Clot retrieval ) is expected. Emergency hyperacute stroke consultations to satellite hospitals in the district.

Supported with registrar and Intern

Roster is Monday to Friday 0800-1630 with oncall required.

Accommodation - Accommodation is provided for the locum during the period of this placement

Travel - Return economy travel to and from Toowoomba is provided. If locum is driving their own vehicle, mileage can be claimed for the return trip at 85c/km.

Medicare - It is mandatory for the locum to obtain a rebateable provider number prior to commencement.
