All Family Nursing Care (AFNC) is seeking committed Residential Youth Workers (RYW) and Disability Support Workers (DSW) to support young people and adults with complex needs across residential and community settings.
Whether you have a background in youth residential care or disability support, this role offers meaningful work, strong leadership support, and opportunities to grow within a values-driven organisation.
Your Role Will Include
Providing safe, consistent, and person-centred support
Supporting daily routines, personal care, and community access
Implementing Behaviour Support Plans, Safety Plans, and Absconding Plans (where applicable)
Maintaining professional boundaries and positive role modelling
Responding calmly to incidents, escalations, and crisis situations
Completing accurate case notes, shift reports, and incident documentation
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
✔ Experienced or interested in youth residential care and/or disability support
✔ Calm, reliable, and able to work in complex environments
✔ Committed to trauma-informed and person-centred practice
✔ Confident working rotating rosters (days, evenings, nights, weekends, sleepovers)
✔ Strong communicators with good documentation skills
✔ Values-driven and committed to safety, dignity, and respect
Mandatory Requirements
(Requirements may vary slightly depending on role)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Blue Card (for youth roles) or willingness to obtain
Current First Aid & CPR
Certificate III/IV in Youth Work, Disability, Community Services (or working towards)
Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
Right to work in Australia
