We trace our origins to the mid-nineteenth century when we first brewed Victoria Bitter and even earlier to the Cascade Brewery, which was established in 1824 and commenced brewing in Tasmania in 1832.
Carlton & United Breweries brews Australia’s most iconic and loved beers, including Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught, Great Northern, Pure Blonde, Carlton Dry, Melbourne Bitter, Crown Lager, Cascade Premium Light and Matilda Bay.
Our stable of brands includes global premium brands such as Asahi Super Dry and Peroni, along with leading craft brands 4 Pines, Pirate Life, Green Beacon and Balter. We are also leaders in innovation, with our diverse range including the non-alcoholic Great Northern Zero and Carlton Zero, aluminium-only wine company Riot Wine Co. and pre-packaged cocktails Hausmix.
Our much-loved range of premixed beverages includes Vodka Cruiser, Hard Rated and Woodstock Bourbon & Cola. Our ciders include Mercury, Bulmers and Somersby, which we make and sell in Australia under licence from the Carlsberg Group.
In 2024, we added super-premium distillery Never Never to our stable, where it now sits alongside prestigious Japanese whisky Nikka. Our other spirits brands include Vodka O, and Cougar Bourbon.
