Job Senior Safety Advisor

Senior HSEQ for a circa $150M mixed-use development in Brisbane for a major developer builder.

Unite Construction are currently working with a highly prominent and well respected developer builder who have a proven track record of delivering in the luxury apartment and mixed-use sector and have an extensive pipeline across South East Queensland.

We are assisting them in recruiting a Senior Safety Advisor for one of their largest projects to date which is a circa $150M mixed-use development in inner-city Brisbane south of the river.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the effective implementation of WHS processes.
• Oversee and coordinate safety-related activities.
• Offer guidance and support to on-site teams.
• Maintain up-to-date safety documentation.
• Conduct pre-start briefings, inductions, and site inspections.
• Identify and assess risks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Perform health and safety audits and workplace inspections.
• Train staff on health and safety procedures.

Key Skills/Qualifications Required:

• Hold a minimum of a Cert IV in WHS.
• Possess over 5 years of experience in HSE ideally with high-rise experience.
• Experience working with a head contractor is required.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Strong knowledge of current legislation, regulations, and building codes.
• Demonstrate clear communication skills, professionalism, and a polished appearance.

Salary:

Circa $180K - $200K package
